Horniman Museum - Limited Edition 3 colour Screen Print in turquoise petrol blue & beige/ yellow/sand - 'Brewed in Forest Hill Since 1898'
I always love visiting my local museum & this three colour, limited edition screen print is my tribute to the beautiful building.
Based in Forest Hill, South London, the Horminam Free Museum was founded by tea trader & philanthropist Frederick Horniman in 1890. The present building – as shown in the print - was designed by architect Charles Harrison Townsend in 1898. In 1901 Horniman donated the Museum & Grounds to the London Country Council for use as a Free Museum by the public.
It’s stuffed full of amazing collections from animals to musical instruments, an aquarium and child-friendly gardens with amazing views into London.
